Enhanced Electronic Options Testing Schedule – All Distributors

As communicated in our notices Q2005-37 (dated March 28, 2005) and Q2005-75 (dated June 15, 2005), testing for Enhanced Electronic Options would take place in July 2005.  We have tentatively scheduled this testing to take place on Saturday, July 23, 2005 and Saturday, July 30, 2005 (if needed) for both RLC and ITC 2.1 users.  We plan to use these sessions for mock trading to provide market makers and distributors a chance to test order entry and receipt of market data.  Exact testing time and definitive dates will be communicated in a later notice.

New Market Data Network (MDN) Channel 8 – RLC Users Only

On Sunday, August 14, 2005, CME® intends to implement a new channel – Channel 8 – on the MDN for RLC users only.  This will affect only RLC users that are currently subscribing to Channel 6 (CME® RLC Globex® options).  Channel 8 will be designated for Enhanced Electronic Options on CME® Eurodollars only; all other CME Globex options will remain on Channel 6.  CME Eurodollar Options data will continue to be transmitted down Channels 5 and 7 for spreads and outright options market data in ITC 2.1 format, respectively.

Testing for mock trading will require connectivity to Channel 8 for RLC CME Eurodollar Options Market Data.  At times other than during the Saturday tests, you can check your connectivity to this channel and will see heartbeat messages. 

We will be sending your user names/password and IP address to you early next week.  We will only send this to distributors who currently subscribe to RLC channels.
